My Favourite Author

My favourite author is Martin Wickramasinghe. He was born on 29 may 1890. In the town of Koggala. ( Gall District )  His literary career began with the novel leela. ( 1914).  Through the 1940s Wickramasinghe dabbled with the double role of literary critic and creative writer. Gamperaliya (1944) is widely held as the first Sinhalese novel with a serious intent that compares, in content and technique, with the grate novels of modern world literature.  


Wickramasinghe followed Gamperaliya with Yuganthaya (1948 ) and Kaliyugaya ( 1957 ) forming a trilogy. After the decay of the traditional life, the story details the rise of bourgeoisie, with its urbun base and entrepreneurial drive, ending with a formation of the labour movement and socialist theology and rise of hopes for a new social order. I read Madoldoowa book when I was grade 5. And also I can read his great trilogy novels Gamperaliya, Yuganthaya and Kaliyugya. Its are very interesting. Among  this three novels, Gamperaliya is most interesting book in my life. And also I read Viragaya,  Rohini , Karuwala Gedara , Handa sakki kima, Apuru Muhuna and ect... They are very interesting books. many of these novels were televised as teledramas. Karuwala Gedara one of them. and his stories were also based on films. Kaliyugaya , Gamperaliya , Wiragaya , Madol doowa , Yuganthaya are some of them.  I have read those books as well as wached those movies. There are many ideas in his stories and the events that take place in the sociaty are wonderfully described in this. 

So I tell those who have not read his books to read the. and also add valuable ideas to life.❤❤

Trip to Rammale Mountain

Three Years ago, wich means in 2018, I went a trip to Rammale mountain. It is situated in southern province, Matara district,Pasgoda. we went their to give alms to the monk in the forest there. Alms can be given only once a year. So, I and my family got a chance to go there that year. It is a very large reserve. there are many andemic animals live there. like Black monkeys , beautiful butterflies, and ect.. And also there were a llot of flower species.🌺🌹🏵️💮🌸 We went and stayed there the day befor the alms. It is very beautiful place. we had a lot of fun. But something terrifying happened to me. There are lot of leeches out there🤮😳...when we came out of the hall where we were staying, a large number of leeches were hanging on our legs.It was a different experience for me. At night it was unbelievebly cold in the south. we got up in the morning, and prepared the alms and offered the alms to the thero.It was a comforting thing for us. we offered alms and left for our house again...

One of my hobbies

  One of the things I learned while I was at home until I started my university works, woolen arts.It is very easy work. I learned it from my mother😊😊😊 I did not know about it before. But my mom knows a lot about woolen arts. That's why she tought me those things. First I learned to knit chains.It's very easy work.There are materiels needed for this knitting. We need things likes knitting needles. At first I was  accustomed to holding the knitting needle and wool correctly.My mother tought me all that.😘💜 Then I learned it quickly and I tried some things on my own. I used to watch and make related vedios on YouTube. This picture shows the phone covers. I used to watch one vedio o YouTube and weaved the rest on my own. my mom fixed some of the mistakes I made. I gave many of my knitted phone covers as gifts to my friends.😍 I really happy it. My dream

  We all have a dream of something. Dreams are keep us alive.. I also dreamed a lot since I was a child.My first dream was to become a Doctor one day. But gradually It changed my experiences and my knowledge.I could identify my abilities.. That is singing. So I changed my dream, to become  a teacher one day..I can sing  very well. Because I chosen Music as a subject for my O/L and A/L exams. I was able to best results for my subject. Music become a my life.. Teaching is very valuable job. My mother also wants me to do that job in the future. I followed my teachers and decided to pursue my dream. First thing I had to do to get to my dream was to pass the O/L and A/L exams. I did it 😊 As a result I selected for the University of the Visual and Performing Arts, blessing all my hopes. Now I am making my way.  I have to work hard to achieve my dream. I love to teach.
